M.A., Ph.D., CCC Speech/ Language Pathologist,
Learning Specialist

Dr. Pred brings an unusual benefit of degrees in speech pathology and learning disorders to the team at P.T.I. Having received a Ph.D. in 1977 from the University of Colorado, she also holds a Type E Teacher Certification and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association. More than 30 years of experience in schools, hospitals and clinics contribute to Dr. Pred’s “wholistic” approach. Additionally, Dr. Pred has taught at U.C.D. and is a sought-after speaker on issues relating to identifying and treating speech with learning disorders. Dr. Pred continues to enhance her knowledge and extend her professional skill. She is a member of the American Speech / Language and Hearing Association. Free time interests include gardening, attending theater, travel and family activities.

 

Brenda-Pardy.jpgBrenda J. Pardy,
O.T.R. Occupational Therapist

A 1975 graduate of Ohio State University’s School of Allied Medical Professions-College of Medicine, Brenda Pardy brings a wide array of skills and experience to the P.T.I. team. Her background in special education schools, hospitals and private practice enhance her functional approach to children with developmental delays or learning disabilities. She has served as a Resource Specialist in Sensory Integration for the American Occupational Therapy Association and is certified to administer and interpret the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests. Her workshops and articles on child development, coordination problems and perceptually based learning and attention disorders are highly regarded by parents, teachers, and professionals. Mrs. Pardy is especially interested in vision problems, and has completed independent course work through the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She maintains a Professional License through the Colorado Department of Education. Her interest in holistic medicine has led her to study a variety of alternative approaches including Myofascial Release and Cranio-Sacral Therapy. Her husband and two sons keep Brenda active skiing, camping and scuba diving. She loves to cook, travel, read and a variety of craft projects.

M.S., Ed.D., Chom. Mental Health Counselor and Homeopath

Dr. Nott is dedicated to helping people find solutions to personal problems in a supportive, dynamic and focused manner. She has been a practicing mental health professional for over 20 years, with a masters in clinical psychology and a doctorate in counseling. Her areas of expertise include child and family therapy, couples counseling, relationship issues, depression and anxiety. She is a licensed professional counselor in Colorado and certified with the National Board of Certified Counselors. The author of "The Goodbye Book", she has appeared on both radio and TV. Dr. Nott is also a practitioner of homeopathic medicine and holds a degree from the Colorado Institute of Classical Homeopathy. Tracy is active as a Scout leader, with family activities, running, hiking and camping.

M.P.T. Physical Therapist

A 1999 graduate from Marquette University with a master’s degree in Physical Therapy, Julie’s practice emphasizes postural analysis and the treatment of muscular imbalances. She includes use of biofeedback and myofascial release to increase individual optimal functional performance. Her background in school based Physical Therapy services and special education increase her ability to work towards functionality across a variety of environments and situations. Julie’s background in assistive, alternative and augmentative communications allow for creativity in designing access for individuals. She designs home programming to address identified areas of concern while maintaining the integrity of family life. She holds a professional membership in the American Physical Therapy Association. She enjoys skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, hiking and travel.
